Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos is a strategy video game created by Blizzard Entertainment and is the third part of the Warcraft series. In addition to continuing the history of the medieval epic world Warcraft is distinguished from its predecessors by incorporating two important changes: the move to 3D graphics and the emergence of two new races. Warcraft III is one of the most lauded strategy games by the gaming community, and is recognized as one of the best in history.
The game consists basically of managing the available resources (gold, wood and food) to produce military units and develop an army to lead against opponents until destroying all their buildings and workers. The game provides several strategies of attack or defense, and the tactics of combat and production are executed from four different types of civilizations, called Races, which star in the game: humans, orcs, night elves and undead. Each of these races is commanded in turn by three classes of heroes who lead and significantly support the battles against their adversaries. One of the innovative elements of the game are these hero-type units, capable of growing considerably in power and taking items distributed in the scenarios.
With the purchase of the game also includes a map editor that allows you to create new maps, units, game styles, etc. The tool allows the creation of unlimited maps allowing players to modify every aspect manipulated by the Warcraft III designers themselves.
In July 2003 Blizzard released the Warcraft III expansion: The Frozen Throne, which continues the story and introduces new types of units and strategies.
